Lay Community

Our lay community supports temple life through service, participation, and cultural activities, helping keep Khmer Buddhist traditions alive.

The Munivongsa Lay Community is made up of approximately 100 families, with about 70% based in Wichita, 15% from Missouri, 10% from Oklahoma, and 5% from other states. Together, they support temple activities through service, participation, and generosity, helping sustain religious ceremonies, cultural traditions, and community life. United by shared values and faith, the lay community plays a vital role in preserving Khmer Buddhist heritage for present and future generations.
