Vutha Sim (Vajirappanho)
Abbot
Vutha Sim (Vajirappanho) serves as the Abbot of Wat Munivongsa Buddhist Temple, offering spiritual leadership, guidance, and compassionate service to the Khmer and wider community. Ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2004, Venerable Vajirappanho has devoted his life to the study, practice, and teaching of the Buddha’s Dharma.
With extensive education in Pali, Dharma, and English literature, he brings both traditional wisdom and modern understanding to his teachings. Since becoming the head monk of Wat Munivongsa in 2019, he has played a vital role in strengthening the temple as a center for spiritual practice, cultural preservation, education, and community support.
Venerable Vajirappanho is deeply committed to nurturing harmony, mindfulness, and moral values among all generations. Through Dharma classes, ceremonies, community projects, and daily guidance, he encourages individuals and families to cultivate compassion, wisdom, and inner peace in their daily lives.
Under his leadership, Wat Munivongsa continues to grow as a welcoming spiritual home, fostering unity, generosity, and the living tradition of Theravāda Buddhism for present and future generations.

Nhan Lam
MahaThera ( Senior Monk)
Venerable Nhan Lam was ordained as a Buddhist monk in the year 2000 and has devoted his life to the practice and preservation of the Buddha’s teachings. He previously served as the abbot of Prek Pintaung Pagoda in Khleang Province, Khmer Krom, where he guided the monastic community and lay followers with compassion, discipline, and wisdom.
In July 2025, Venerable Nhan Lam joined Wat Munivongsa Buddhist Temple, bringing with him many years of monastic experience and spiritual leadership. His presence strengthens the temple community through his commitment to Dhamma practice, religious ceremonies, and the continuation of Khmer Buddhist traditions.
Venerable Nhan Lam’s lifelong dedication to the Sangha and to the spiritual well-being of the community continues to inspire both monks and lay supporters.

Phet Ly
General services
Venerable Phet Ly was ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2006 at Serey Kandal Pagoda in Khleang Province, Khmer Krom. Through years of dedicated practice and study, he later served as the abbot of the same pagoda, where he provided spiritual guidance, led religious ceremonies, and supported Buddhist education within the community.
In 2024, Venerable Phet Ly came to Wat Munivongsa Buddhist Temple, bringing with him valuable monastic experience and a deep commitment to the Dhamma. His service continues to support the spiritual life of the temple through chanting, teachings, and the preservation of Khmer Buddhist traditions.
Venerable Phet Ly’s devotion to monastic discipline and community leadership remains an important contribution to the Sangha and to the lay community he serves.

Thanh Son Thach

Venerable Thanh Son Thach was ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2015 at Prek Pintaung Pagoda in Khleang Province, Khmer Krom. He completed his Pali studies at Khleang Pagoda, gaining a strong foundation in Buddhist scriptures and monastic discipline.
Alongside his religious education, Venerable Thanh Son pursued his passion for Khmer sculpture and traditional carving at Wat Rajabo in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where he developed artistic skills dedicated to preserving and expressing Khmer cultural heritage through sacred art.
In July 2025, Venerable Thanh Son Thach came to Wat Munivongsa Buddhist Temple to assist with construction and development projects. His combined dedication to the Dhamma, traditional arts, and hands-on service greatly supports the temple’s growth and inspires the community.
